Vintage Turquoise Enamel Heart and Stars Gold Pendant with Chain

A stunning and very rare heart pendant in a glossy, red guilloche enamel adorned with tiny gold stars and surrounded by natural turquoise cabochons. The back is fully encased in gold and the pendant comes complete with nine-carat gold chain as pictured.

A lot of old Victorian/Edwardian pieces were converted later in the 20th century to preserve the fantastic old enamelwork and it's quite possible that this is an older piece which was revamped in the 1950s.

SIZE: The pendant measures 2.5cm across. The chain is approximately 21 inches (approx 53cm) long.

TOTAL WEIGHT: 9.6g.

MATERIALS: Nine-carat (375) gold, enamel, turquoise. Nine-carat gold chain.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: The pendant is hallmarked for nine-carat gold, London 1959 and bears the sponsor's mark HAL. The chain is hallmarked for nine-carat gold, Sheffield 1983, and the clasp and bail are also stamped 375.

CONDITION: In excellent vintage condition.

ERA: Pendant 1959, chain 1983.
