Useful info
SHIPPING
We offer free shipping worldwide. IMPORTANT: if you are based in the EU or Northern Ireland please be sure to read the GPSR section below.
UK: UK packages over £150 are sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery, which is a next-day signed-for service. Please note, items will not always be shipped or leave the post office on the day they are purchased so it may be a couple of (working) days before they arrive with you. If your order is particularly urgent let us know and we’ll always do our best to get it out ASAP!
UK purchases under £150 will be sent via Royal Mail Tracked 48.
International: Your items will be sent via a tracked (and usually signed for) service and you will have a tracking number to follow your parcel. For most countries (with the notable exceptions of Australia and Canada) a signature will be required for your parcel on delivery.
Antiques are usually exempt from import duties, however we cannot be responsible for any duties applied by your country’s customs office. We encourage you to check the customs situation in your country before ordering.
Overseas express courier shipping is available and typically takes 2-5 days, dependent on country. This service usually costs around £40 but please check with us first for availability and pricing.
GPSR: Shipping to the EU and Northern Ireland We are sad to say we will no longer be able to ship items less than 100 years old to addresses in the EU and Northern Ireland because of the new General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) which comes into force in December 2024. Like many small businesses, the hugely increased red tape and associated financial implications just make it impossible. We are hoping this is only temporary and there will be a way forward but for the moment this is where we are :(
Pieces listed as Antique, Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian, 19th Century, Austro Hungarian are exempt and we will be able to ship those to the EU and Northern Ireland.
We will not be able to post pieces listed as Vintage, or items less than 100 years old, to the EU and Northern Ireland.
If you’re at all unsure, please do drop us a line to check before you buy.
ALTERATIONS
If you require resizing or conversions, please contact us before placing your order as not all items are suitable for alterations. We can carry out ring sizing for free in many cases but please get in touch to discuss.
GUARANTEE
Each item is guaranteed genuine and as described. All items are antique, vintage or second hand and are sold as such. Most items are sold “as found” and may include faults (which we will always point out). We prefer to leave items as original as possible and retaining their patina, as this is part of their story and their charm. We will always tell you if we’re aware a piece has been repaired or altered and always do our best to describe and photograph items as accurately as possible. If in doubt - ask! We’re always happy to clarify.
LAYAWAY - PAYMENT IN INSTALMENTS
You can secure any item with a deposit and pay for it over time. Most people opt for a 30% deposit followed by a further two or three monthly payments to make up the balance - there's no additional fee or added interest. Please note we do not accept returns on these items. If you really love something, we’ll try our best to make it easy for you to buy, just message us to discuss a schedule which suits you.
Alternatively, choose Klarna as your payment method when you check out and you'll be able to buy now, receive your item straight away and pay later (subject to Klarna's credit checks).
RETURNS
We accept returns on all orders. Please get in touch within 14 days of receiving the item to arrange its return via a tracked service and in the same condition you received it. Damaged or broken items will not be accepted for a refund. Please note that shipping costs will not be reimbursed and we cannot accept the return of any items that have been altered or resized.
