Vintage Silver Tiger's Eye Oval Pendant/Brooch

A beautiful vintage polished oval slice of tigers eye set into a solid silver frame and fitted with both a pendant and brooch fittings. The glossy semi-precious gemstone displays silky golden chatoyance - the optical reflectance which makes tiger's eye such a magical stone (but is very hard to capture in a photograph!).

SIZE: 4 x 3cm.

WEIGHT: 13.6g.

MATERIALS: 925 sterling silver, tiger's eye.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: Marked SILVER.

CONDITION: In excellent vintage condition; there is a little patina on the silver, which could be polished up if you prefer a shiny look. The tiger's eye is lovely and glossy with no chips or cracks, and the locking clasp fixes securely.

ERA: Dating from the early 20th century; the brooch clasp may be a later addition.
