Vintage Silver Taxco Buckle Bangle with Tortoiseshell Panels

A beautiful solid silver bracelet formed of curved sections adorned with tortoiseshell-effect panels. Originating from the Mexican town of Taxco, which has been associated with silver mining and jewellery making for centuries. The bracelet secures with a belt-buckle-style clasp which secures with a foldover clasp which clicks down securely on the end. The photos don't do it justice!
SIZE: Adjustable between approximately 7 and 7.5 inches (19.3cm) x 1.3cm wide.
WEIGHT: 45.6g.
MATERIALS: 925 sterling silver.
HALLMARKS/STAMPS: Stamped 925 MEXICO TAXCO TR-1H.
CONDITION: Very good vintage condition, with the clasp and hinges in good working order. Minor age-related tarnish and surface wear on the silver.
ERA: Late 20th century, post 1980.
