Vintage Gold Carnelian Cluster Pendant and Chain Necklace

A lovely vintage necklace set with four polished carnelian cabochons mounted in nine-carat gold. The other stones in the pendant are a bit of a mystery - the central cabochon has a lovely translucent quality, a little like a moonstone, though with a slight aquamarine tint and speckles beneath the surface, while the four white stones interspersing the carnelians are more opaque, possibly milky quartz. The pendant comes ready to wear with the vintage chain pictured.

SIZE: Approximately 1.7cm, or 2.4cm tall including the bail. The chain is 16 inches long.

TOTAL WEIGHT: 3.1g.

MATERIALS: Nine-carat (375) gold, carnelian.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: The pendant is unmarked but tests as nine-carat gold. The chain is stamped 9K on the clasp.

CONDITION: In excellent vintage condition.

ERA: Estimated mid-late 20th century.
