Vintage Diamond-set Solid Gold Snake Slave Bangle

A fabulous solid gold bangle in the form of a sinuous serpent with a star-set diamond atop its head. The head and tail are 14-carat gold, the centre section is more durable nine-carat gold. 

SIZE: The inner circumference of the bangle is currently just over 7 inches but the two ends could easily be pulled apart or pushed together to alter the size slightly.

WEIGHT: 19.7g. 

MATERIALS: 14-carat gold, nine-carat gold.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: Marked 585 (14-carat gold) and .1 on the reverse of the head.

CONDITION: Overall in very good vintage/antique condition but there is one tiny place where the bangle has been scratched (looks like filed for an acid test) and another tiny patch of a slightly different colour. Not noticeable when the piece is worn but we point it out for accuracy (see photos).

ERA: Estimated mid-late 20th century.
