Art Deco Silver Butterfly Wing Brooch

An original Art Deco brooch with a butterfly wing set beneath domed glass or rock crystal in a typical 1930s sterling silver setting. The insect wing is lovely blue and gold/ochre colours.

Fixes with a pin which sits loosely in the clasp but attaches to cloth securely. There is a fine silver safety chain for additional security.

CONDITION: In very good antique condition, with some loss of butterfly scales but little abrasion to the surface of the dome, which remains lovely and clear.

ERA: Estimated Art Deco c.1930s.
