Vintage Amethyst and Diamond 9CT Gold Festoon Necklace

A nicely made vintage nine-carat gold festoon-style necklace set with deep purple amethysts and sparkling white diamonds. 

SIZE: Approx 16 inches (42cm) long. The gem-set front section is 6cm wide and has a 1.7cm drop. The round amethysts measure approximately 2.5mm, the pear-shaped drop 5 x 4mm and the diamonds 2mm.

WEIGHT: 5.1g. 

MATERIALS: Nine-carat gold, amethyst, diamond.

CONDITION: In excellent vintage condition, with fully working spring ring clasp and very little sign of wear.

ERA: Estimated late 20th century.
