Vintage 9CT Gold Garnet Cabochon Ring

A vintage nine-carat gold ring set with a deep red garnet cabochon between diamond-cut split shoulders. The stone is almost black when seen on the finger but its beautiful colour can be seen when held up to the light.

SIZE: N (UK), 6 and three quarters (US). The garnet is approximately 10 x 12mm.

WEIGHT: 3.0g.

MATERIALS: Nine-carat (375) gold, garnet.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: Hallmarked for nine-carat gold, London 1965. Also stamped A&Co.

CONDITION: The ring is in very good vintage condition with normal age-appropriate wear, the surface of the garnet has all-over minor pits and scarring when seen under strong magnification but on the finger looks smooth and shining.

ERA: 1965.
