Vintage 1973 Diamond 18CT Gold Cubist Ring by Trigg & Payne

A dainty Modernist ring in rich 18-carat yellow gold with a fun design of tumbling cubes around a central sparkling white diamond boxed in a white-gold setting. All mounted on a square-section shank, it's a lovely clean elegant modern design. Hand made by the English jewellers Thomas A Payne and C Peter Trigg. Payne was one of three young British jewellers selected to exhibit alongside the iconic Anglo-Italian jeweller Andrew Grima at the JL Hudson Company in Detroit in 1963.

SIZE: Size M (UK), 6 and a quarter (US). At approx 3.5mm the fiery white diamond comes in at just under 0.2 carats.

WEIGHT: 3.8g.

MATERIALS: 18-carat gold, diamond.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: Hallmarked for 18-carat gold, Birmingham 1973 and stamped CPT TAP.

CONDITION: The ring is in excellent vintage condition with little sign of wear.

ERA: 1973.
