Victorian Style Rose Gold Filled Bangle

A finely engraved Victorian-style golden bangle by Rex Manufacturing Co., an American jewellery manufacturer established in Rhode Island in 1912. The front half is chased with beautiful scrolling foliate motifs and a central monogram panel (MG). The bracelet is a rich rosy gold in colour, typical of American rolled‑gold jewellery from the early to mid‑20th century.

SIZE: Internal circumference is approximately seven and a half inches; width 1.3cm.

WEIGHT: 30.6g.

MATERIALS: Rolled/filled gold.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: Stamped REXMFG CO inside.

CONDITION: The bracelet is in good vintage condition although some of its golden surfaces have worn (largely at the back and on the edges) and there are a couple of minor dents on the outside of the plain half. The clasp is a little clunky to operate but shuts securely.

ERA: Estimated late Art Deco to Retro (c.1920–40s).
