Victorian Austro-Hungarian Enamelled Silver Chain Necklace

A lovely antique Austro-Hungarian silver chain, with blue and ochre enamelling on each link tiny ruby-coloured accent stones (untested). The front has a swagged section adorned with tiny gleaming seed pearls.

SIZE: Approximately 17 inches long x 7mm wide. The festoon section is approx 6.5cm wide (43cm).

WEIGHT: 21.7g.

MATERIALS: Silver, seed pearls.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: None.

CONDITION: The chain itself is in good antique condition, with minor enamel losses. The clasp, set with old-cut pastes and a faux pearl, is likely a replacement dating from c.1930s.

ERA: Estimated late 1800s-early 1900s with later clasp.
