Victorian 9CT Gold Opal Lovers Knot Brooch

A fine Victorian piece comprising four rosy nine-carat gold rings entwined in a "lovers' knot" with an opal cabochon at their heart. Two of the rings have a smooth shiny finish, two are slight hammered, creating a lovely contrast. 

There is a brooch fitting but also a ring attached to the reverse so the piece can easily be worn as a pendant around the neck. 

In excellent antique condition.
