Small Georgian/Victorian Gold Mourning Locket Watch Fob Pendant

A pretty little antique pocket-watch-fob memorial pendant, with a glassed locket panel which lifts on one side. The piece is ornately decorated all over with a scrolling foliate design, with a lovely engine-turned design centre back and the legend "IN MEMORY • DJ" in raised gothic lettering picked out in black enamel. Also engraved "ML Mother" by hand in the middle.

SIZE: 3.2 x 2.1cm.

WEIGHT: 4.1g.

MATERIALS: Gold-plated metal, enamel, glass.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: None.

CONDITION: The locket is in very good antique condition, the glass panel opens and closes as it should. The enamel has some significant wear, please see photos.

ERA: Estimated late Georgian-early Victorian (c.late 1700s, mid 1800s).
