A fantastic example of Victorian piqué d'or - an intricate 19th century decorative technique developed in France where gold and/or sterling silver is inlaid into a material such as tortoiseshell. This beautiful pendant is unusual because of the banded agate cabochon at its centre, surrounded by gorgeous little vine and grape motifs on each arm of the cross.
