A beautiful large Edwardian photograph locket with a substantial fancy link chain. The chain has double belcher-type links and three unusual large torpedo-shaped bead links with fleur-de-lys detailing.
The locket contains acetates in both sides, ready to insert your own pictures or tiny treasures.
SIZE: The chain is approximately 18 inches long and the locket measures approx 3 x 4cm. The drop from the bottom of the central torpedo link to the bottom of the locket is 6cm (2.5 inches).
WEIGHT: 35g.
MATERIALS: 925 sterling silver.
HALLMARKS/STAMPS: The back of the locket is fully hallmarked for Birmingham sterling silver 1905, and bears the sponsor's mark TE.
CONDITION: Overall in very good antique condition. One of the torpedo links has a crack but this is purely cosmetic (see photos). The hinge and clasps are in good working order. The chain has been slightly extended with a new silver clasp section at some time.
ERA: Edwardian, 1905.
