An unusually shaped Victorian pendant in sterling silver and polished natural Scottish agate.

Scottish jewellery was made popular by Queen Victoria from the mid 1800s when she and Prince Albert frequently visited Scotland and her Scottish castle Balmoral. She loved all things Scottish and spent much time in the Highlands and Cairngorm mountains where these Scottish pebble stones were collected.

SIZE: 4.2cm long; the "cage" is approximately 2.4 x 2.7cm.

WEIGHT: 14.4g.

MATERIALS: 925 sterling silver, agate.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: None found.

CONDITION: In excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks to the agates. (In one photo there's a line which looks a little like a crack on the ochre agate but be assured it's just a colour vein.)

ERA: Estimated Victorian (c.1837-1901).
