Murrle Bennett Edwardian Art Nouveau 15CT Gold Peridot Pendant

A pretty 15-carat gold and peridot pendant by the highly collectible Anglo-German jewellery firm Murrle Bennett and Company (1896-1916), a supplier to Liberty and Co which was particularly known for its high quality Art Nouveau and Arts and Crafts pieces.

SIZE: 3.5 x 1.8cm, not including the bail.

WEIGHT: 1.8g.

MATERIALS: 15-carat (625) gold, peridot. Fifteen-carat gold pieces are not overly common (in the UK only really used between 1854 and 1932) and this fineness was generally used in high quality pieces.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: Stamped 15CT with the MB logo.

CONDITION: Excellent antique condition.

ERA: Edwardian (c.1901-1914).
