Modernist Topaz Blackened Silver Climbing Figure Pendant

An unusual large and beautifully hand made silver pendant which can be worn many different ways by threading a chain (not included) through at different points along the edges. The main part of the pendant is blackened silver, all the better to show the tiny detailed human figures and the twinkling blue topaz gemstone. Believed likely to be Finnish. 

SIZE:  3.5 x 3.3cm, not including the tiny woman perched on top.

WEIGHT: 13.6g.

MATERIALS: Sterling silver, topaz (tested).

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: The back is etched 925 (sterling silver) and has the maker's signature; it's hard to read but looks something like Salla Okatan.

CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition.

ERA: Estimated late 20th century.
