Large Victorian 9CT Gold Miniature Portrait Brooch

A fine early Victorian portrait of a young lady with impressive decolletage, painted by hand with a lovely lightness of touch. The portrait is set into a typically Victorian glassed brooch in nine-carat rose gold, with sturdy scrollwork design frame. The reverse has a panel of finely woven hair, also behind glass.
