Edwardian Turquoise Pearl 15CT Gold Pendant Necklace

This pretty 15-carat gold pendant set with turquoise and pearls comes with an antique leather purse and a sweet little handwritten note which reads: "The present given by Granny D-- (?) to her sister Aunt Ellie as a bridesmaid's gift. Returned by Cousin Peg after Aunt Ellie's death." The turquoise is a lovely vivid colour and the dangle contains a natural baroque pearl set in a wavy cage design typical of the Arts and Crafts period c.1880s-1910.

SIZE: 3 x 2.2cm. The purse is approximately 4 x 6cm.

WEIGHT: The pendant weighs 1.8g.

MATERIALS: 15-carat (625) gold, turquoise, pearl.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: None (tested).

CONDITION: The pendant is in excellent antique condition. The purse opens with a press button and the clasp closes securely but the leather is in a very delicate state and detached from some of its studs.

ERA: Estimated late Victorian/Edwardian (c.late 1800s-1914).
