A traditional 19th century pocket watch-style locket pendant in slightly rosy nine-carat gold, glassed on both sides and containing a portrait of a lady, most likely the mother of the original wearer. The top unscrews for you to insert your own pictures or keepsakes behind the glass should you wish.

The blank side of the pendant contains a panel of extremely finely woven thread. Although it's common to find woven hair in Victorian and Edwardian lockets, we believe this to be fine golden silk.

SIZE: 2.8 x 3.2cm, 4.7cm (almost two inches) long including the bail at the top.

WEIGHT: 5.7g.

MATERIALS: Nine-carat gold.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: Hallmarked for nine-carat gold, Birmingham 1914. Also bears the initials MT.

CONDITION: In excellent antique condition; the woven silk is slightly stained beneath the glass.

ERA: Edwardian, 1914.
