Edwardian 9CT Gold Pearl Heart and Ivy Safety Pin Brooch

This romantic little safety pin brooch is solid nine-carat gold studded with seed pearls. The motif is a heart decorated with tiny ivy tendrils and leaves. To Victorians well schooled in the language of flowers ivy represented enduring love, whether that of a deep friendship or a romance.

In excellent antique condition.
