Chunky Antique Victorian Rolled Gold Albert Necklace Chain with Dog Clip

This fantastic slightly rosy Victorian chain looks for all the world like solid nine-carat gold. It tested positive for nine-carat gold with both acid and x-ray machines but is actually just so thickly cased in gold (likely rolled gold) it fooled both tests!

The chain has a small drop section in the middle, perfect for attaching a pendant, T-bar or locket. The chain could easily be extended with another clip or the addition of extra links or a split ring at the end.  

SIZE: Length is approximately 14 inches - this is a short "choker" length which won't fit everyone so be sure to check your measurements! Width is approximately 1cm.

WEIGHT: A chunky 54.2g. 

MATERIALS: Nine-carat gold cased metal.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: The clip is stamped SB.

CONDITION: In excellent antique condition. 

ERA: Estimated Victorian (c.1837-1901).
