Boxed Antique French 18CT Gold Garnet Pearl Bar Brooch

An ornately detailed antique French bar brooch or lapel pin in solid 18-carat gold adorned with a garnet and two tiny seed pearls. Comes complete with the antique box pictured.

SIZE: 5 x 1cm.

WEIGHT: 2.2g not including the box.

MATERIALS: 18-carat gold (tested), pearl, garnet.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: The French eagle hallmark for 18-carat gold and another unclear mark on the clasp.

CONDITION: Excellent antique condition. The pin sits loosely in the C clasp but fixes securely to fabric.

ERA: Estimated "La Belle Epoque" - late Victorian to Edwardian, c.1871-1914.
