Art Deco Silver Crinoline Lady Butterfly Wing Brooch

An original Art Deco era silver brooch with a Blue Morpho butterfly wing forming the background for a hand painted finely dressed lady in a shimmering crinoline skirt. The insect wing flashes vivid electric turquoise blue as it catches the light.

SIZE: 2.8 x 2.1cm.

WEIGHT: 4.3g.

MATERIALS: 925 sterling silver, butterfly wing.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: Marked MADE IN ENGLAND STERLING SILVER PT 220213.

CONDITION: The piece is in very good antique condition, with just a little tarnish to the back and lovely patina consistent with the age of the piece.

ERA: Art Deco (c.1920s-30s).
