Art Deco Faux Tortoiseshell Snake Bangle

A wonderful vintage crossover snake bangle, moulded in striped brown plastic with twinkling blue paste eyes and sparkling old-cut pastes running the length of its body. 

SIZE: Approximately 6.5cm internal diameter, just over 8 inches internal circumference.

WEIGHT: 13.4g.

MATERIALS: Early plastic (possibly celluloid), paste gemstones.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: None.

CONDITION: The snake is in good vintage condition with minor surface wear, see photos. Some of the pastes look as though they have been reglued and are a little darker but none are vacant. Originally there would have been pairs of tiny metal dot inserts between the pastes but many of these have been lost.

ERA: Estimated Art Deco c.1930.
