Vintage Indian Mughal Style Turquoise Enamel Necklace and Earrings

An unusual necklace and earrings in Indian Mughal style, with inverted teardrop pendants vividly enamelled and set with sparkling clear stones. Each drop has six tiny (genuine) pearl dangles above pale turquoise glass beads. The necklace is partly formed of glass beads with a pearly surface covering (some rubbed), leading to a silky braided cord, the length of which can be adjusted with a bead which can be moved up and down.

SIZE: The "pearl" section of the necklace is 34cm (approx 13.5 inches) long but the cord length can be adjusted. The earrings are just over 4cm total drop, the enamelled section and dangles measure approximately 3 x 1.5cm.

MATERIALS: Cord, pearls, paste gemstones.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: None.

CONDITION: Overall the set is in good vintage/antique condition. The earrings wires are a little bent and under magnification there is some hairline cracking to the enamel but no missing parts.

ERA: Unknown.
