A very attractive piece dating from La Belle Epoque (1871-1914), this brooch is rendered in solid silver set with emerald green pastes, a white paste and tiny twinkling marcasites. Two laurel branches lead to a tiny rustic baroque pearl drop below. Secures with a C clasp and pin.
SIZE: 2.7 x 3.6cm.
WEIGHT: 4.8g.
MATERIALS: 900 silver, paste gemstones, marcasite.
HALLMARKS/STAMPS: Marked 900 (silver fineness).
CONDITION: The brooch is overall in very good antique condition, one tiny marcasite is vacant if you look closely.
ERA: Estimated La Belle Epoque (1871-1914), Victorian/early Edwardian (c.1837-1914)
