Victorian 15CT Gold Coral Seed Pearl Ring

A pretty Victorian ring set with six coral cabochons and a trio of gleaming seed pearls. 

SIZE: 7 (US), N and a half (UK). The ring measures 7mm tall at the front, tapering to 2mm at the back. 

WEIGHT: 1.7g. 

MATERIALS: 15-carat gold, coral, pearls.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: Hallmarked for Chester 15-carat gold, undated. Fifteen-carat gold pieces are not overly common (in the UK only really used between 1854 and 1932) and as this fineness was generally used in high quality pieces, it is attractive to collectors. 

CONDITION: In excellent antique condition, no chips or cracks, all the pearls have a lovely shining nacre. 

ERA: Estimated Victorian (c.1837-1901).
