RESERVED for E • Antique Snake and Hand Gold Intaglio Carnelian Spinner Pendant Fob

A rare antique gold-cased swivel fob with lots of fantastic details, including a tiny hand and serpent on each side and a detailed intaglio of a distinguished Shakespearean-looking gentleman in profile engraved into a polished carnelian plaque.

SIZE: Approximately 3 x 2.8cm, including the integral bail.

WEIGHT: 8.6g.

MATERIALS: Gold-cased, carnelian/cornelian.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: None. The metal tests as at least nine-carat (375) gold.

CONDITION: In excellent antique condition; the swivel mount turns easily so you can choose which side to wear facing out.

ERA: Estimated Georgian (c.1714-1837).
