Antique Silver Filigree Secret Locket Pendant

A beautiful pendant of silver filigree wire set with five foil-backed paste gems and four softly gleaming split pearls. The back conceals a glassed locket perfect for a photograph or other tiny treasure (see below). The pendant comes ready to wear on the pictured vintage silver chain.

SIZE: The locket measures 3 x 2.5cm and the chain is approximately 52cm (just over 20 inches).

WEIGHT: 12.3g.

MATERIALS: 925 sterling silver, pearl, paste gemstones.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: The chain clasp is stamped 925. Both the chain and the pendant test as sterling silver.

CONDITION: Very good antique condition, just a little wear to the foil and minor surface wear. The locket hinge is broken so the glass-set back half comes off completely but it fits back in place snugly, secure to wear and hold your treasures safely.

ERA: Estimated Austro-Hungarian/Arts and Crafts c.1880-1910s.
