Georgian 15CT Gold Foiled Rock Crystal Brooch

A beautiful clear shining rock crystal sits at the heart of this lovely Georgian era brooch or lace pin, foil backed to enhance its light-reflecting properties. 

SIZE: Approximately 2 x 1.4cm.

WEIGHT: 4.3g. 

MATERIALS: Tests as 15-carat gold.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: None found.

CONDITION: The thin sheet gold has a small tear visible on the reverse revealing the base metal below. The pin is in good antique condition and the stone is crisply faceted and abrasion free with no chips or cracks. There is a patch of wear to the gold at the back. The edge of the bezel is a little worn in places but the stone is securely mounted. 

ERA: Estimated Georgian (c.1714-1837).
