Edwardian Pearl, Garnet and Gold Enamel Chick Bar Brooch

A supercute Edwardian brooch depicting a fluffy yellow chick running within an oval frame. The chick is enamelled in yellow, with a natural baroque pearl and a tiny garnet eye. The brooch is unmarked but is guaranteed to be a minimum nine-carat gold, possibly higher - it has the lovely rich colour of 15-carat gold. Secures with a C clasp. 

SIZE: 5.2cm long, the oval section measures 1.3 x 1cm.

WEIGHT: 3.6g. 

MATERIALS: Minimum nine-carat gold, enamel, pearl, garnet.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: None found.

CONDITION: The brooch is in excellent antique condition.

ERA: Estimated Edwardian (c.1901-1914).
