Austro Hungarian Enamelled Sterling Silver Bracelet

This Austro-Hungarian bracelet has gorgeously detailed silverwork and the most beautiful enamelling. The five main panels have a circular dome decorated with black, green and red enamel (one black, green and purple) and topped with a tiny pearly bead. The "pearls" are a kind of cultured pearl coating on a bead beneath; one of the them has worn at the top to reveal the silver below (see photos).

SIZE: 7.5 inches (19cm) long, 2cm wide.

WEIGHT: 21.6g.

MATERIALS: 925 sterling silver, enamel.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: There are no obvious marks or stamps but the silver acid tests as sterling.

CONDITION: Overall in very good antique condition; a tiny O ring joining the clasp is missing but this doesn't affect wearability and could easily be replaced by a jeweller if necessary. The clasp clicks shut nicely, with a safety chain for additional security.

ERA: Estimated 19th century.
