Antique 15CT Gold Domed Hair Locket Pendant

A pretty little 19th century domed locket pendant, with a glassed panel of loosely woven hair on one side and a lovely hand-chased frame and back.

The glassed side of the locket holds a lock of hair. The top unscrews for you to insert your own picture or keepsake behind the glass should you wish.

SIZE: 2.5cm (1 inch) total drop from the top of the bail, the locket is 1.2cm diameter.

WEIGHT: 3.4g.

MATERIALS: 15-carat gold, nine-carat gold, glass, hair. The piece has tested as 15-carat gold, with the top loop in nine-carat gold.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: None found.

CONDITION: The piece is in very good antique condition. The surface of the glass has some abrasion. 

ERA: Estimated Georgian-Victorian (c.1714-1901).
