A stunning antique belt buckle by the highly collectible Art Nouveau/Arts and Crafts silversmith James Fenton. The buckle comes in two parts, each with typically Art Nouveau stylised decoration decorated with turquoise blue and green enamel on a hammered silver ground. English Art Nouveau pieces typically showcased these beautiful peacock-coloured enamels and favoured hand-hammered silver to draw attention to the craftsman's handiwork. We acquired this belt buckle from a client who originally purchased it from the prestigious international auction house Bonhams.
